USER INTERVIEWS · Habit tracking

Keep the details that matter to you.

Counts, time or a short note: choose what to record and keep the daily entry simple.

01 · QUESTION

What would you want a habit tracker to record?

“Done” or “not done” might not tell me enough. For some activities, a count makes sense. For others, I’d want to record how long I spent or add a short note. When I look back, I want to know what I actually did.

02 · QUESTION

What would matter most in the first version?

It should be easy to make an entry. I want to open it, fill in today’s details, save and move on. I can look through past entries later. The home screen doesn’t need to show everything at once, or tracking becomes another chore.

03 · QUESTION

Why is being able to keep changing the app important to you?

Using it is how I’d find out which fields I don’t need and what’s missing. I’d like to adjust both what I record and how it’s displayed. Building a tracking screen is only the beginning. What matters more is whether I still want to open it after a while.
