USER INTERVIEWS · Personal inventory

Organize your belongings your way.

Categories that make sense to you, a place for each item, and a way to keep track of what you lend out.

01 · QUESTION

What would you want your personal inventory app to help with?

Besides knowing what I own, I want to remember where things are and whether I’ve lent them out. I’d also like categories that make sense to me, so I don’t have to figure out which preset category something belongs in before I can find it.

02 · QUESTION

Which features would you want to build first with Etono?

A simple list where I can add items, enter a category, location and notes, and search by name. I’d want to see everything I’ve lent out in one place and update an item’s status when it comes back. Photos and statistics can wait. I’d start with the things I’d use most often.

03 · QUESTION

How would you decide whether it’s worth continuing to use?

I’d try it with a few things I own: add them, edit them, search for them, then close and reopen the app to check that the records are still there. If it’s useful, I should naturally reach for it the next time I’m looking for something.

ETONO

Start with a need of your own.

Describe a small personal tool, try the result in Etono, and refine it through conversation.
